BBC Travel uses Kyrgyzstan trekker photograph for Forgotten Countries of the World webpage

BBC Forgotten Countries of the World photo of Kyrgyzstan

August 2012: Its always nice to see the BBC using my stock travel photos, so I thought that it would be useful to share one of these, now that it has a permanent web address on the BBC Travel Site External link opens a new Browser window. The photograph appeared in a slideshow hi-lighting a series of what they termed as 'Forgotten Countries' i.e. countries that the public rarely remembers. It shows a trekker climbing through forest and green meadows to the snow-capped mountains of the Sarycat Ertas Nature Reserve, which is adjacent to the town of Jeti-Oghuz in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. Here is a webpage snapshot taken 2012-08-13.

For more information about this image, which can be licensed through Getty Images, please see my Kyrgyzstan trekker in Sarycat Ertas Nature Reserve page.
